Memorial Trust Bursary

This year the Southway Community College Memorial Trust presented cheques of £400 to Jaydyn, Daisy, Fedra, Cicely and Liam. These bursaries are awarded annually in memory of the four Southway students, who lost their lives in a canoeing tragedy in 1993. These bursaries are to support students in their next steps in education.

These five students presented the strongest applications stating clearly how the award would help them in the next stage of their lives from a strong group of applicants.

We wish them well in their next steps - a London university and continuing or starting out in their Sixth Form studies.
