RAF Assembly

This term we were fortunate to have Sgt. Liam Quinn, a Sir John Hunt alumnus, present to Year 11 about careers within the RAF.

Student listened intently and it was a great opportunity for them to start thinking about their post 16 options, with the RAF offering careers for students with GCSE’s but also encouraging them to aim higher and join with A-Levels as it can bring better opportunities. We had lots of enquiries from students ranging from wanting to be a pilot to a firefighter, so Liam will be in again for a more in-depth conversation with students who took a real interest.

We have a range of different employers due to come in as the school year progresses so students will get a great overview of different career paths they could take.
