Year 8 look to the future

Year 8 students have attended sessions with the Sixth Form team, encouraging them to ask as many questions as they could about what Sixth Form at SJH involves and the pathways open to them in the coming years. These sessions formed part of the Year 8 Personal Development curriculum and were held over in the Sixth Form centre.

Year 8 students had opportunity to get a feel for Sixth Form study sessions, the Sixth Form centre and about the additional freedoms and responsibilities that our Year 12 and 13 students have. Students were able to discuss their own aspirations, and to find out more about their next steps and future pathways. These sessions have been a huge success and the Sixth Form team were extremely impressed with the questions that Year 8 came up with and they maturity which they showed.
